Vintage California Pottery Wall Pocket Vase shaped like a summer ladies hat or bonnet with bird and berries. The hat was produced in Los Angeles about 1945. The textured hat is a lovely green with undertones of burgundy. The bird is perched on a twig with outstretched wings and its burgundy color is detailed in black. A brown leaf and burgundy berries lie gracefully on the hat brim. Being a wall pocket there is a next to the bird for flowers or a plant. The back is stamped "Stewart-B-McCulloch" copyright sign "Calif". Wall pockets are fun and timeless for your home décor.
It is unknown whether Stewart B McCulloch actually modeled pottery himself or was a distributor of California Pottery. The items usually found with this name are figurines of people and animals.
