Vintage Blue Drip and White Pottery Dog Planter in a darling puppy shape with a bow at his neck. He's a beautiful white color with dripped, drizzled or brushed blue glaze. He has his head cocked sideways with big muzzle, eyes with black pupils and big floppy ears. Elsewhere this shape and treatment has been identified a possibly American Bisque. The clay is white and the bottom unglazed. Rare piece of American art pottery. I've seen the shape in a solid color, but the drip glaze is a little rarer.
Size: 5-1/4 inches tall
Condition: Good. There are a couple of tight closed hairline cracks from the open part of the back. On the bottom are closed tight heat hairline cracks. None of the cracks are unstable and the pottery is thick. NO CHIPS, NICKS, OR REPAIRS.
